Anglet

The City of Anglet

In the vicinity of Biarritz, Anglet is part of the Bayonne urban area. It makes the link between the sandy coast of the moors and the rocky coast of the Basque Country.

A renowned seaside resort, especially for gliding sports, Anglet has 11 fine sandy beaches on a 4.5 km long waterfront. Their variety allows Anglet to attract audiences with very different expectations: large and urban (golden sand), small and cashed (beach of the Club), with view on the lighthouse of Biarritz (small bedroom of Love), trendy (Madrague), Quiet and wild (beach of the Ocean), Or even surf spot (riders ‘ beach), each has its own strengths.

The resort is therefore also the ideal place for the practice of water sports: schools and clubs offer you sessions of Stand Up paddle, kayak of the seas, Wave Ski, Jet ski, sailing, or even fishing at sea.

Between the Atlantic façade, the Izadia Ecological Park and the Chiberta Forest, Anglet is also considered the green lung of the bayonnaise urban area. Many walking or running circuits are possible: along the landscaped promenade of the Littoral Parkway, the forested greenways, the Pignada Health course, or the 7 hectares of the maharin.

Bicycle paths are also designed to discover Anglet and its natural heritage. The city also owes its charm to the eclectic architecture of the many resort villas that line the ocean, as well as the neo-Basque facades of the late 19th and early 20th century houses.

The resort offers, in all seasons, many family leisure activities: swimming pool, ice rink, cinema, library, mini-golf, Basque ball, Escape game and Laser game, and also covered playgrounds for children.
